Plenty of walks and never felt crowded.

We were extremely lucky with the weather on the week of our stay, so got to enjoy the pool a few times. The changing facilities were excellent (with lovely toiletries in the showers), and there were plenty of sunbeds. We didn't use the spa, but it looked lovely. The lake and beach were beautiful, we liked going down there as the sun was setting in the evening. We walked around with our 2 young children and found the play area in the woods, it was brilliant! I went on the zip wire across the lake - so much fun. The bar/restaurant was disappointing, not only extremely overpriced, but closed on tuesdays & wednesdays (so we couldn't even order a drink on the hottest 2 days). It would be so much better if it was a proper restaurant, offering food all day, plus a dinner menu. Considering there's nowhere else on site to get food (other than pizza's on fridays & saturdays 4-8pm), you're really missing a trick! Families want convenience, you'd make our lives a lot easier if there was somewhere on site we could all eat together. We didn't end up hiring bikes or doing any watersports on the lake, I did email to enquire about bikes but didn't hear back so we didn't bother. Overall we had a lovely stay and I would return, but there is definitely opportunity to make the site much more customer friendly!
